         Accommodation Rules, Cancellation Policy and Payment Terms

  1. A member of the reception staff will show the guest to their accommodation and provide any necessary information for a trouble-free stay.
  2. The hotel may accommodate only guests who have been duly registered. For this purpose, immediately upon arrival the guest is required to present a valid identity card, passport, or another valid identification document to the reception staff, in accordance with Act No. 135/82 Coll. on the Reporting and Registration of the Residence of Citizens, as amended, and Act No. 428/2008 Coll. on Personal Data Protection, as amended.
  3. A guest who is not a citizen of the Slovak Republic (a foreign national) is required to complete and submit to reception an official registration form provided by reception staff upon arrival in accordance with Act No. 48/2008 Coll. on the Residence of Foreigners, as amended. All required information must be provided truthfully and in full.
  4. The hotel provides services at least to the extent and quality specified by the relevant regulation on the categorization and classification of accommodation and catering facilities under which the hotel is classified.
  5. The guest agrees that, during their stay, housekeeping staff, maintenance staff, or other authorized hotel staff may enter the guest’s room for the purpose of performing their duties.
  6. Guests must not behave noisily or play music or use a radio, TV or any other devices at a high volume, whether in their rooms or in other areas of the hotel. Quiet hours must be observed from 22:00 to 06:00.
  7. On the day of arrival, check-in is available from 14:00 to 21:00. If the guest requires check-in after 21:00, they must notify the hotel in advance by calling  +421 917 440 604.
  8. When taking over the room, guests are advised to check the condition and functionality of the room equipment and to report any defects or malfunctions to reception immediately.
  9. Guests may receive visitors in their room between 08:00 and 22:00 only with the consent of an authorised hotel staff member and after the visitor has been entered in the visitor book.
  10. On the day of departure, guests must check out and leave the room no later than 10:00.
  11. In the event of a guest’s illness or injury, the hotel will assist in arranging medical assistance or, if necessary, transport to a hospital.
  12. Breakfast is served in the restaurant from 08:00 to 10:00. By prior arrangement with reception, an alternative breakfast time may be agreed.
  13. In exceptional cases, the hotel may provide the guest with accommodation other than that originally agreed, provided that such accommodation does not differ substantially from the confirmed booking.
  14. Guests are not allowed to move furnishings, carry out repairs, or interfere in any way with telephones, radio and TV sets, hair dryers, the electrical installations, or any other installations in the room or common areas. Otherwise, the guest shall be liable for any damage caused by a breach of this rule.
  15. Before leaving the room, guests must turn off all water taps, switch off the lights, lock the entrance door, and hand in the key at reception. In the case of an early morning departure, guests must lock the entrance door and place the key in the designated key box next to the entrance door.
  16. Guests are not allowed to use their own electrical appliances on the hotel premises, especially in the rooms. This restriction does not apply to common electrical appliances used for personal hygiene, such as electric razors, massage devices, hair dryers, or similar devices. Otherwise, the guest shall be liable for any damage caused by a breach of this rule.
  17. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas of the hotel.
  18. If the guest requests to extend their stay after check-in, the hotel may offer another room instead of the room originally assigned.
  19. The hotel operator is not responsible for any disagreements or conflicts between guests; however, to the extent permitted by law, it will take the necessary measures to maintain order in the accommodation facility and related areas.
  20. Guests are not allowed to bring sports equipment into the rooms.
  21. Each room has both wired and wireless Wi-Fi internet access, which guests may use free of charge.
  22. Guest complaints, claims, and suggestions for improvement are handled by the Hotel Manager or the Manager on Duty.
  23. Any malfunction of equipment or any part of the equipment must be reported to reception. After 22:00, guests should call +421 917 440 604. In the event of an emergency, guests should call 112 or 158.
  24. For safety reasons, guests must not enter areas marked “Staff Only” and must not insert any objects into the building’s service openings. Otherwise, the guest shall be liable for any damage caused by a breach of this rule.
  25. Guests may park in the car park in front of the premises. The car park is monitored by a camera system but is not guarded by security staff.
  26. A fee of EUR 16,60 per card is charged for the replacement of each lost key card.
  27. Guests and visitors are liable for any damage caused to the hotel’s property or equipment in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
  28. The local tax is not included in the accommodation price. Based on the decision of the city of Ružomberok, an additional fee of €1.20 per person per night is charged for the stay.
  29. Cancellation Policy: In the event of cancellation of booked services, Koliba U dobrého pastiera applies the following cancellation chargesMore than 60 days before arrival: cancellation fee of 0% of the total deposit amount (any bank charges are paid in full by the guest). More than 30 days and up to 60 days before arrival: cancellation fee of 40% of the total deposit amount. More than 10 days and up to 30 days before arrival: cancellation fee of 50% of the total deposit amount. From 10 to 3 days before arrival: cancellation fee of 65% of the total deposit amount. Less than 3 days before arrival: no refund, cancellation fee of 100% of the total deposit amount.
  30. Payment and Booking Confirmation: Payment is made in advance on the basis of a pro forma invoice, in the amount of either 30% or 100% of the total price of the stay, depending on the type of stay. The booking will be confirmed once the required payment has been received. 
  31. These Accommodation Rules were approved by the management of Černovské drevenice, s. r. o., as the operator of the accommodation and restaurant facility, and are effective from 1 December 2025.
